T+R | Backyard Wedding

Tracey and Rob's outdoor wedding

After planning and designing hundreds of weddings in incredible venues with even more incredible budgets, Tracey knew for her own wedding she wanted something small, intimate and at home. So when she and Rob got engaged they knew that the only place right for their wedding was their very own backyard.

Most of the planning and preparation for the wedding happened in the garden - months were spent cleaning up a very overgrown yard and transforming it into a small vegetable and flower garden fit for a late spring celebration.

The ceremony took place in front of a large 70+ year old pomegranate tree. For escort cards, we framed leftover chicken wire and attached cards on calligraphed handmade paper with tiny clothespins. Food was served family-style and cooked on an open fire, and at the end of the evening was a small cake cutting (baked by Rob) and s’mores over the fire pit.
